MyTeddy is an animatronic companion product, not a certified or manufactured child-safe toy. CGI images showing a Teddy speaking, walking, dancing, hugging, listening or participating in children's activities are illustrations of intended use, not documentation that the device has achieved those capabilities or is ready for unsupervised use.
Adult purchasing and children's privacy
This storefront is designed for adults considering a potential future product. It does not offer child accounts. Children under 13 should not provide personal information directly to this site. COPPA and the FTC's 2025 amended rule may apply to child-directed online services and connected toys, depending on design and data practices. Child-facing services must be evaluated for verifiable parental consent, notices, access, deletion, retention and third-party processing before collecting children's information.
AI safeguards planned for the product
- Age-appropriate conversation modes, parent controls, safe defaults and meaningful offline/mute options.
- Clear identification of Teddy as an AI-powered machine, not a human or a therapist.
- Visible and comprehensible status indicators for microphones, cameras, connectivity and data sharing, if implemented.
- Strong limits on third-party sharing; child data minimization, deletion and owner-controlled privacy settings.
- Evaluation of emotional-dependence risks, inappropriate content, autonomy and unsafe physical behavior.
These are requirements for future releases, not shipping features or guarantees.
Physical and electrical safety
Product-market classification, age grading, powered mechanisms and accessory design will determine applicable standards. A U.S. children's toy can require CPSC third-party testing, a Children's Product Certificate and compliance with 16 CFR part 1250 / ASTM F963, plus applicable limits for small parts, lead, phthalates, electrical hazards and battery safety. Additional FCC radio authorization and other obligations may apply. None of those certifications is claimed here.
Safety before launches
No child-facing account, voice-service, biometric sensing, remote camera streaming, autonomous physical interaction or paid product order should be released without privacy, security, safety and consumer-law reviews. The companion does not currently provide emergency response, medical, mental-health or child supervision services.
